China Yunnan Pu-Erh Tea

China Yunnan Pu-Erh Tea

China Yunnan Pu-Erh Black Tea

(2 Ratings)
Pu-Erh or Pu-er teas are teas whose leaves are re-hydrated after fermentation, to enable a further fermentation; they are called post-fermented teas. After production, these teas are stored in cool cellars, or buried in the ground for one or more years. Our quality is the most popular and best sold worldwide. The dark to light brown Sinensis leaf develops a strong, spicy and earthy taste and depending on the brewing time an earthy and woody flavor. The infusion has a dark red color.

In the past, I purchased ESP Emporium's Pu-Erh Mini Tuocha and loved the smoothness of the condensed mini bricks. This loose leaf Pu-Erh comes very close and I love it, and thus bringing it to my top 5 of ESP's loose leaf teas. I like to steep this loose tea for 4 minutes to bring out more the smooth almost vanilla yet earthiness which tickles my taste buds with a wonderful aftertaste. This Pu-Erh is so very smooth!!! I love it!! This is probably my #1 of top 5 teas :)

I like the english breakfast, earl gray and irish breakfast teas - but this tasted like earth, ummm really like dirt. The lady told me this tea is collected like fine wine, so maybe I am not that quality of an experienced tea drinker, but I will not buy this again.
