White tea is a lightly oxidized tea which has been primarily grown and harvested in the Fujian province of China. Although, recently, white tea is also being grown in Eastern Nepal, Taiwan, Northern Thailand, Galle (Southern Sri Lanka) and India.
White tea is derived from Camellia sinensis, the same as black and green tea and shares many of the same health benefits. However, white tea contains the most antioxidants, compared to black and green teas.
White tea receives its name from the fine silvery-white hairs that form the unopened buds of the tea plant, giving it a white appearance.
While providing important health benefits, and balancing the great, fresh taste of White Tea, we have come up with some amazing blends including our premium Anji White Tea, the popular China White Cui Min (Spring) Qingshan Organic White Tea and the delightful Flower Power Green White Tea Blend.
