South Korea produces mostly green tea and has a very distinct style of teas that really aren’t that well-known nor widely available in most western countries. This isn’t, however, because South Korean tea isn’t as good as tea from other countries. It’s more because the South Korean tea hasn’t really been marketed in the same manner.
South Korean green teas are classified in different types and grades, including Daejak (lower grade), Jungjak (midgrade), and Sejak (high grade). Even more uncommon in the West, is Dong cheon, a South Korean black tea.
South Korea also has a very rich tradition of herbal teas, where barley tea, called bori cha, is widely consumed.
At ESP Tea Emporium, we select only the freshest teas from South Korea to create our premium blended teas which provide a wealth of health benefits, amazing aromas and tastes that are sure to please.
