Mieli Thun Thistle Honey 28 Grams
Produced between June and July. Crystallized honey with an evocative range of smells, predominantly of baked pears and fermenting grapes with overtones of geranium, rose walnut husk and toasted hazelnuts. The color is beige or even ochre, either pale or deep in hue with yellow reflections of the sun. In the mouth it is savory and tangy with a pleasantly bitter caramel.
Tips for use: its lavish flavor makes this honey ideal with legume or cereal-based foods, such as hummus. It goes well with sharp cheeses. Dissolve the honey in warm milk with pinch of salt until the texture becomes creamy toffee, then drizzle on to slices of pear and banana. Great with African and Indian teas.
